Gold Speckle Tissue Holder

I found this today at one of our local Thrifts.... it's a cute retro tissue holder. it even has holes on the back to hang it on the wall.... The top has a spring hinge to keep the tissue box secure in it. I think this might have to go in my Scotty trailer since it is so sparklie. I might even bling it up with some vintage costume jewelry... what do you think?

My lil Twinkie

Last weekend while out 'Trailer Trolling' with my Glamping partner in Crime... I got to thinking about my little 1976 fiberglass SCAMP trailer all of 13' long & 5' wide....and how I wish I had not sold her.... Her name was "Twinkie" and small as she was I still loved camping in her. One learns to really par down what one needs to take Glamping in a itty bitty trailer.

When we first got her, she was pretty much a mess.... Gary did a complete Face Lift on her,,, New sub-flooring, new laminate flooring,, a new table, cabinet doors & wall behind the kitchen. He even fabricated new windows for her as well as installed new electrical....

I painted the interior, re-upholstered the cushions and cutsiefied her all up in Mid-Century 1960's aka 'Dean Martin',, Avocado green & orange,,, I thought it was cute....I think Gary was not so sure about my color choice! lol!... I have some more pictures of her, unfortunately they are on a different computer....maybe I'll copy them over to this computer and post them...but for now,,,,I'll just enjoy the sweet memories of my lil 'Twinkie'....

Trailer Trolling

I soooo want this trailer!!!! if only the owners would part with it....

The window was out of this Shasta so I stuck my camera in for a shot...

Yep, it has some water damage,,, but not to scary... I want this trailer,,, but am 3rd in line(waiting list) for it... so it probably is just wish full thinking of ever owning it.

and look, it has it's wings...

Juli is giving it the once over.... it looks really cute,,, needs work but you know me ( and Gary)...'Show No Fear'!

Happy Trails.

What Do You Do...

What do you do when you can't go 'Trailer Glamping'?
Why you go 'Cabin Glamping' instead!

Gal-pal Juli and I headed out to Elk Idaho for a weekend of Junktiquing & trailer trolling...just your typical gal~pal girlie weekend get-away.... As you can see from this picture,,, lots of snow in Elk... oh and that bottle of wine in the window,,,gee,, how did it get there? lol!

If you 'blink' you will miss the town of Elk,,, looking up the main street through town...

and the other way... lol!

Juli & I gabbed till our jaws ached, visited neighbors, had an awesome hamburger at the local tavern, enjoyed some organic wine, watched two old classics movies, watched it snow and wondered if we were going to get snowed in on Sunday... but alas, we didn't get snowed in.

On the way back to Moscow, ID...we did some 'Trailer trolling'... I'll post a few 'teaser' photos.

Happy Trails!

My Scotty Banner

Notice the resemblance?

"The Gnome Home" Sister #472,,, that's me!

I am not the best photographer,,, but good grief! Dolly~girl your not helping! lol!

OK, this one is a little better minus the kitty hairs!

Look what arrived in my mailbox today, my Fan-tab-ulos banner from Sister on the Fly sista, Karla #303.... Karla dose fantastic machine embroidery and can make just about any trailer banner for your trailer. I had painted blue dots and a Scotty dog on my trailer and Karla was able to replicate it... So how Kool is that!?!. Karla also has a etsy shop and you can see her posting on the Sisters on the Fly FaceBook page. You can also contact her at: hobbyhorseranch@aol.com for embroidery work. She dose towels, banners etc...she can even do embroidery on jackets... I think I will have to have a denim jacket with my trailer embroidered on it next! :>)

Thank you so very much Karla, I can hardly wait for my first Glamping trip of the season to hang my banner for all to see. Happy Trails!

Trailer Pillows

I stitched up these two little pillows,,,then I searched through my scrap fabric stash for fabric to complete the little pillows. The red one is 'pillow ticking'..... and this pillow will go into trailer #3 aka 'Farmgirl on the Loose'.

This little blue one will go into my Scotty trailer aka 'The Gnome Home'... I found just enough fabric in my stash that was perfect for the backing...... I love all the blue dots!

Now I just need to get into town and buy some fiberfill to stuff the pillows....

Hmmm, I wonder what I can work on next for my trailers....

Lookie Lookie

Hillbilly Wine & Martini glasses! hahaha! Gary & I were up at the 'Big R' farm & feed store.... and in their 'gift isle'... they had the funniest drink glasses.... one was a "Hillbilly Wine Glass" and then I spotted the smaller one which was a "Hillbilly Martini Glass" so needless to say... @ $12.99 each,,, my brain clicked on and said,,, heck! I can do that and for a lot less then $12.00! and I did and here they are.... I had canning jars on hand and bought the 2 candle sticks at the local Dollar Store...add some glass epoxy and voila! I am thinking these will need to go in my little trailer, what do you think?

I can hardly wait to put my little 'Scotty Pennant' into my Scotty trailer,,, but since it rained, then hailed today... I didn't make it out to the Barn... maybe tomorrow!

My Scotty Pennant.

I finished up the pennant for my Scotty trailer.... I thought "Scotty X-ing was perfect for it.

I bought the stiff blue felt at Hobby Lobby which comes in a 12 x 18 sheet for .79cents. The glittered black felt, pink felt and the red felt were scraps left over from another project.
I found these 'Scotty Appliques' at the Ben Franklin store over in Cheney, on the Clearance table! So with scissors, glue, bits-n-pieces of felt, ribbon and rhinestones... Voila!

Double the Fun

Oh My Gosh! I was so delighted when hubby and I found this retro radio (on the right) at a vintage shop down in Colfax... then hubby and I spotted the 2nd one (on left) at a Thrift.... needless to say,,,we bought it...after all, one can never have enough retro radios! Now to decide which trailer to put it in! Oh, and yes, it is a CD player too! Happy trails!
